Types of appliances

Fixed and Removable Appliances

Fixed Appliances

These are appliances that are placed in the mouth and can not be removed by the patient daily. Your teeth or jaw alignment condition may require a force greater than can be achieved with braces alone. Traditionally, orthodontists would have recommended headgear that patients wear at night.

  • You can gain the extra treatment power you need without the hassle of headgear.
  • You will benefit from an appliance that works: consistently, comfortably and around the clock.
  • You can be confident that your treatment program is being moved along. Just the way it should be.

Removable Appliances

These are appliances that are placed in the mouth and can be removed by the patient daily. There are different types of appliances depending on the particular malocclusion being treated.
